Embracing children’s differences

At Mulbarton Remedial we are more than just a school. We are also a family where every child’s unique differences are embraced. Many children arrive from a mainstream school system that has left them feeling despondent and lacking confidence in their ability to do well in class. By accepting every child as they are, learning challenges and all, we can rebuild their self-esteem and set them on the path to succeed academically.

Our motto “I can and I will” are words we put  into practise every single day.  We encourage our learners to never give up even though learning is difficult through building on skills, concepts and understanding one small step at a time. As a team, we teach them to persevere in everything they do. Children need to believe that they can do anything they put their mind to. We enable them to experience this through small successes along the way which teaches them that by  trying without giving up they will achieve their very best.

We provide a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to be the very best version of themselves that they can be in all areas of their lives, not only in the classroom. Children learn in different ways and in their own times. At M.R.S these differences are celebrated and children are accepted for who they are.

Our D-CAPS environment allows us to prioritize personalized education within small class sizes, with a maximum of 13 learners per class. We have a dedicated staff who have years of experience in remedial teaching. Our approach combines learning and play to promote overall well-being. We offer a remedial curriculum tailored to your child’s pace and level with the primary focus on building confidence, closing educational gaps and empowering your child to achieve their full potential.
